And so did Babylon

"I judge not," the lady said,
as she craned her neck, and lifted her head.
"So the child sinned, many do.
It doesn't mean her soul is black through and through."
Blood rushed to the woman's face,
as her voice grew in strength, her words pace.
"It's not right to punish so for her wrongs,
it's her voice, her music, her songs!
It's not right, I say! That she pay the consequences
for her life is her own. She shouldn't need fences!
Why should her past deeds haunt her life?
Why should her poisoned well still cause her strife?
No I judge not. I judge not at all."
And so did Babylon self-righteously fall

  1. Despite her claim at the beginning, it seems to me that she's judging whoever she's talking to.
